Design Your Own Chic Kasode

Description

Our Chic Kasode jacket fits at the shoulders, hanging loosely with a front diagonal opening. and on women of medium height, it falls just below the hips. It has pockets set in side seams and lined sleeves. For a limited we time, you can order your own unique Chic Kasode in your size, using your fabric, cuff, and closure options. You can even ask us to adjust the sleeves and jacket length to suit your style.

This is how it works.

Using the drop down boxes, first select your size. Please take note of our sizing chart details and select the size that will work best for you. To give you perspective, the model pictured is wearing a size small jacket. She is very slender (size 6 to 8) and tall (5’10”). The standard jacket measures 30″ from base of neck to hem.  Please put a note in the Order Notes if you would like  this 1 to 2 inches shorter or longer.

Next select your fabric. All of the fabrics are made by us, here at Whispirit, from 80% alpaca fiber and 20% merino fiber.  We have identified 6 fabric option pictured below..  The base fabric for the jacket is an undyed natural color from alpacas in our herd.  The embellishments are added during the felting process using alpaca, merino or a blend yarns or roving.  The fibers are felted into a sheer silk or cotton gauze fabric to give it good stability and wearabilty.  Of the six fabrics pictured below, only the starry starry night is felted into a cotton gauze.  We use a blue cotton gauze to make that fabric, which has a lovely effect.

Next select your sleeve finish preference.  Our standard sleeve length is 21″ and in the rolled cuff option, the cuff measures 3.5″”  Put a comment in the Order Notes if you want this lengthened or shortened by an inch or two.

Next, select your closure choice.  We will match a unique handmade button to add one last artful element to your design.  The buttons pictured in the photos below are our favorite, especially for the kasodes!  They are handmade dichroic glass buttons made New Mexican artist Robin Pascal.  We like to use a button that measures at least 1″ diameter on the kasode jackets and typically use two if the buttons are smaller.

Next hit the Add to Cart button and you will see your chosen options pictured to the left of the screen.  You can still change your choices at this point.  We will handle these orders first come, first serve but expect 3 to 4 weeks for delivery.  If we will not be able to fill your order because we ran out of the fiber to make the fabric, we will let you know.
