Returns, Exchanges
All fabric purchases and special orders are final and may not be returned or exchanged. We will accept a return if there is something wrong with the item. We will exchange an item for a different size if we have that garment in your requested size on hand. Because we are a small manufacturer, we do not carry inventory of each design in every size. Other purchases can be exchanged for another item or item on the website but amounts already paid will not be refunded.
Similar but Not Identical as Photograph
Although we at Whispirit try very hard to portray our fabrics accurately on our website, we can not guarantee that the item you will receive will look exactly like the picture on website. Each fabric is made from an individual animal’s fibers, hence the natural variety of alpaca colors, touch and feel will vary. That’s one of the challenges to running a website featuring photographs of specific products. We like to say we can’t do identical, but we can do similar. We can make the same design, in the size you chose, with the same fabric, but even the same fabric has variation.
If an exact shade of color, weight of the item, button or closure details are important to you, please contact our customer service unit at info@whispirit.net We will advise you of differences before you purchase or special order an item.
There are three things we cannot reproduce exactly:
- Color. We use the best photographer to obtain the picture displaying the color of the item depicted. However, because we use hand dyed products, only items from the same dye lot will be the exact color. Even our undyed fibers alpaca and merino fibers in the same color families are not going to be identical. Colors like “fawn,” “brown,” “rose grey,” “grey,” and yes, even white, have color variations.
- Handcrafted surface designs. We apply hand-dyed fibers, hand-cut designs, and decorate with yarn in an artful manner. We can’t and do not try to replicate the patterns or design elements in detail.
- Buttons and Other Closures. We use handmade buttons and other artful closures to complete our look and feel. The artisans who make these items are, like us, committed to doing similar but they are not identical. If we can not resupply with a similar button or closure, we will include a photo of the available closure in the photography and make a note in the item description.
Natural Color
Alpacas come in at least 22 different shades. We use the names of the Alpaca Registry color chart to name our undyed fabrics and try to come as close to what this chart depicts.
We breed for color and we buy other alpaca fibers when a natural color suits our fabric making tastes. The colors we use the most are white, light and medium fawn, dark brown, true black, light and dark rose grey, and silver grey.
Sizing
We try to size our garments according to our sizing chart, but because our designs vary from fitted to loose fitting, each style’s measurements vary. If you want to know the exact dimensions of a particular garment or hat, please contact us at info@whispirit.net
Special Orders
We will make garments especially for you. Simply chose the design, identify the fabric, identify the general size and add unique measurements that are important to you. Allow 6 weeks from time of order to delivery. Because of the unique nature of special order garments, special orders are not returnable. Coupons are not available for special orders but gift certificates may be used.
Gift Cards and Coupons
Gift cards can be used online at www.whispirit.net. Gift cards are sent via email.
Gift cards are non refundable, non-transferable and valid up to one year after purchase.
Gift cards may not be redeemed or transferred for international orders. They are only redeemable for shipments within the US.
If an order, shipping, or NM sales tax (if applicable) exceeds the gift card’s amount, the difference must be paid by available payment method.
If an order is less than the gift card’s amount, the difference will be held in the recipient’s account for up to 3 business days.
